These work best with larger, longer teardrop beads. The bead shown is a 20x9mm teardrop. They would also work on a shorter teardrop, like the 8x15mm melon teardrops. You just wouldn't see as much of the bottom of the bead. The height of these is the 9mm measurement. They are open 8mm at the bottom. The petals on these can be manipulated slightly to increase that opening for a larger bead, but not too much.
